About Pods Pilates

Kate is Chartered Physiotherapist. She graduated from King’s College, London in 1999. Since, she has worked in both the NHS and private sectors specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Kate currently works as a Senior musculo-skeletal physiotherapist in an NHS clinic in South-west London.

Kate has gained considerable experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of back pain, work-related and postural dysfunctions, ante and post-natal conditions and sports injuries .

As a post-graduate Kate qualified as a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). The APPI is firmly established as a leading force in the delivery of safe, effective research-based clinical Pilates.

Kate has a keen interest in Sport having gained a degree in Sports and Exercise science from the University of Birmingham and has represented England in Lacrosse playing in the World cup in 1997, and currently plays for Putney Lacrosse Club. She has 3 daughters and lives in Wandsworth.

Sophie Lax's profile

Sophie is a chartered physiotherapist and currently works at St Georges Hospital. She graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University and completed her Matwork certification from the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2008. Having worked predominantly in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she has used Pilates to treat a wide range of spinal, pelvic and women’s health problems. She is experienced in taking classes for all of these issues.

Charlotte works as a Senior Physiotherapist in a South-West London NHS clinic. She runs much of the department as well as being extremely experienced in treating all musculo-skeletal problems. She graduated from Brunel in 1999 and has since worked for the NHS. She qualified with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute in 2008 and has been a key member of Podspilates for many years. She has a special interest in Women’s Health and runs regular ante-natal fitness classes. She is based in Richmond and takes small group classes in client’s homes.
Jen Taylor's profile

Jen is a Senior Physiotherapist working in an NHS trust in Richmond. She qualified from Coventry University with a BSc (Hons) in 2007, and has trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute (APPI). She started her Physiotherapy career at an acute teaching hospital in Nottingham and then went on to work for an NHS trust in Richmond as a senior rotational physiotherapist, and has now specialised as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She has experience in treated a wide range of musculo skeletal conditions using pilates. Jen takes individual and small group pilates sessions.
Laura Partridge's profile

Laura graduated with a first class degree in Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University In 2005. She went on to work in 3 large London teaching hospitals before moving into Private practice in South London. She started her APPI pilates training in 2007 and has since gained considerable experience teaching pilates classes. Laura has a special interest in Pilates for Sports rehabilitation and is due to complete a masters in Sports medicine in September 2012. She has also worked extensively with ante-natal and post natal women helping them in all aspects of recovery. Laura has worked with a wide variety of sports teams including covering GB Wheelchair Basketball training camps, Badminton England Tournaments, London and Brighton Marathons, International Surfing championships and various British University events including BUCS Championships and Home Nations. She is a Bronze ACPSM accredited Physiotherapist and will be working at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
